　　越南的鲶鱼科是主要的水产物种之一。辨认鲶鱼农场养殖中影响能量输入的因素将大有益处。Nguyen等使用一种数据包络方法调查得出下游农场的技术效率要高，主要得益于低能耗，而中游和上游的农场效率较低是由于频繁泵水和泵鱼。同时盐度的升高也会降低效率。

　　从自身携带营养到外界饲喂营养的转换对许多幼体都是至关重要的。因此，了解初始饲喂期和生长存活相关的养殖条件也显得至关重要。Yuan等人通过饲喂实验和对生长基因及脂代谢基因转录的分析得出在盐度为5ppt的环境中饲喂武昌鱼幼体和卤虫混合饲料对斑鳜生长和存活有促进作用。
