These include: 1、A more consistent regular order pattern into China which indicates increased acceptance and growth of the salmon industry in China 2、The increased demand within the key sushi and sashimi segments, which reflects a continued trend of healthy eating of salmon for raw consumption 3、The Chinese retail and seafood industry becoming very supportive of sustainability with increased awareness of ASC certification 4、The retail supermarket chains starting to embrace salmon as a centre of plate choice Tassal has attempted to capitalise on the salmon growth opportunity markets via 1、Participating in Shanghai seafood exhibition in September 2、Supporting marketing literature 3、key promotional support campaigns with a number of the leading retail supermarket chains 4、Availability of supply of key events 5、Commitment to ASC certification of salmon Tassal remains very positive about the continued growth of the salmon market in China. We believe that key trends will continue to evolve next year and into the future with: 1、Improved packaging extending shelf life via MAP and skin packs 2、The continued increased consumption of raw salmon in the key sushi and sashimi markets 3、The increased trend of salmon as a cooking option for centre of plate home meals 4、The Chinese market requiring increased speed to market via improved direct to market freight options.
